Overview |
|
At Tai-Ao we see suppliers as critical to our success.
We value our supplier relationships highly, and we strive
continually to improve and develop these relationships
to our mutual benefit. We make high demands of our suppliers
and we seek suppliers that will work with us, not against
us.
Tai-Ao aims to work with suppliers who share our dedication
and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Additionally, we seek to do business with those who can
provide us with a competitive advantage and who can supply
goods and services in a reliable and cost-effective manner.
These business relationships are based on more than just
price. The mutual lasting benefits to both parties come
through innovation and improvements in specification,
service, business process and a deeper understanding of
each other's businesses. We will develop meaningful performance
measurement together, along with a greater focus and understanding
of our customers' needs and requirements.
Procurement Policy
¡¤ Buying decisions are made
objectively and impartially, applying the principle of
lowest lifetime cost.
¡¤ Confidential commercial
information belonging to Tai-Ao and suppliers is to be
jointly respected and must be protected at all times.
¡¤ Supply management will
continually seek to find ways to lower costs, including
encouraging suppliers to reduce costs without sacrificing
quality or service.
¡¤ Lifetime cost effectiveness
is a key consideration
Selecting the best Supplier
We recognise that our relationship with suppliers may
be different. Some will be carried out at arm's length
whereas others will have a much closer working relationship
with us. Our needs and the needs of our supplier must
be aligned so that the appropriate level of relationship
can be defined and agreed. We have developed a supplier
relationship model that shows the different types of supplier
relationship that can exist with Tai-Ao. |
