So that we may serve you better and better understand your
underlying needs and requirements, you should consider
the following when ordering parts:
- Talk to us about the part description or
drawings early in the design phase.
|
- Consider the special specifications that
have to be met (i.e. government)
|
- The requirements for strength, corrosion
resistance, machinability, finish, weldability,
so that we can make an appropriate alloy recommendation,
if alloy and temper are not already known.
|
- The end use of the product.
|
- The end use length and purchase length.
|
- Tolerances (commercial, per critical specification,
other).
|
- Surface finish (mill, anodized, britedip,
polish, paint) and which are the exposed surfaces.
|
- Secondary fabrication requirements (mitering,
punching, bending, anodizing, drilling, assembly)
and where these must occur in the finishing
process.
|
- Packaging; acceptable maximum and minimum
weight per package and shipping and handling
requirements.
|
- Quantity needed and whether this is a regular
order or only a one-off.
